أبو تمام البحتري
هو حبيب بن أوس عاش في فترة (۸۰٤-۸۵۰) من قرية حاسم في حوران، أصبح من شعراء البلاط العباسي كان أبوه مسيحياً أما هو فقد اعتنق الإسلام وهو فتى. له ديوان معروف بديوان الحماسة، مات ودفن في الموصل.
زهير بن أبي سلمى
شاعر من قبيلة مزينة في مضر، عاصر الحرب بين قبيلة عبس وقبيلة زبيان لم تكن حياته آمنة أو مستقرة، كان أبوه شاعراً . وخاله شاعراً وزوج أمه شاعراً، وأخته الخنساء شاعرة، وأبناءه الاثنان شاعران.
ديك الجن
اسمه عبد السلام بن رغبان (۷۷۷ - ۸٤۹، من أبناء حمص لقب بديك الجن البشاعة وجهه، اعتنق الإسلام بعد موقعة مؤنة، عمد في شعره إلى تأييد قضية الشعوب المغلوبة.
طرفة بن العبد:
اسمه عمرو بن العبد وطرفة لقب غلب عليه عرف بالغلام القتيل لأنه مات صغير السن، كان هو وقومه يعيشون في البحرين على الخليج الفارسي، مات أبوه وهو طفل فظلمه أعمامه اغتصبوا حقه.
خليل مطران
شاعر ولد عام ۱۸۷۲ في بعلبك ودرس في زحلة وبيروت وباريس استقر في القاهرة وأسس مجلة أدبية هي «المجلة المصرية»، توفي عام ۱۹٤٩ ولقب شاعر القطرين مصر والشام.
ابراهيم اليازجي: ١٨٤٧ - ١٩٠٦ م
أديب ولغوي وصحفي وشاعر لبناني من مواليد بيروت أنشأ جريدة النجاح، دقق الكتاب المقدس لغويا، أنشأ في مصر محلتي البيان والضياء، يتميز اسلوبه بإظهار عبقرية اللغة العربية من سجع ومتانة وأسلوب رائع أكمل شرح ديوان المتنبي، آثاره الفرائد الحسان من قلائد اللسان، يعتبر من رواد النهضة العربية في العالم العربي.

Abu Tammam Al-Buhturi
He is Habib bin Aws. He lived in the period (804-850) from the village of Hasim in Hauran. He became one of the poets of the Abbasid court. His father was a Christian, but he converted to Islam as a boy. He has a collection known as the Court of Enthusiasm, he died and was buried in Mosul.
Zuhair bin Abi Salma
A poet from the Muzaina tribe in Mudar. He lived through the war between the tribe of Abbas and the tribe of Zabian. His life was not safe or stable. His father was a poet. His maternal uncle is a poet, his mother's husband is a poet, his sister Al-Khansa is a poet, and his two sons are poets.

His name was Abd al-Salam ibn Ragban (777-849), from the sons of Homs, nicknamed Badik al-Jinn, the ugliness of his face, he converted to Islam after a battle of disasters, and in his poetry he intended to support the cause of the conquered peoples.
Tarfa bin Al-Abd:
His name was Amr bin Al-Abd, and Tarfa was a nickname that prevailed over him. He was known as the murdered boy because he died young. He and his people lived in Bahrain on the Persian Gulf. His father died when he was a child, and his uncles wronged him and usurped his right.
Khalil Mutran
A poet born in 1872 in Baalbek and studied in Zahle, Beirut and Paris. He settled in Cairo and founded a literary magazine, The Egyptian Journal. He died in 1949 and was called the poet of the two countries, Egypt and the Levant.
Ibrahim Al-Yazji: 1847-1906 AD
A Lebanese writer, linguist, journalist, and poet, born in Beirut. He established Al-Najah newspaper. He linguistically checked the Bible. He established the Al-Bayan and Al-Diyaa magazines in Egypt. Arab renaissance in the Arab world.
