اكتسب التصوير الفوتوغرافي أهمية أخذت تتزايد منذ مطلع القرن الحالي . .
فمع السينما والتلفزيون والكتب ، والمجلات ، بات التصوير الفوتوغرافي يلعب دوراً هاماً في التسلية والتعليم .
وإذا تركنا هذا الدور جانباً ، فإن التصوير الفوتوغرافي صـار هـوايـة للكثيرين من الناس ، كما أصبح وسيلة لا تجارى لتسجيل المحطات المختلفة من حياة المرء ، ووسيلة للتعبير الفني .
هناك اعتقاد خاطىء عند العامة من الناس ، بأن التصوير الفوتوغرافي الناجح يتطلب معرفة تقنية معقدة ، وهم يكتفـون بعمل صور لا قيمة فنية لها .
والحقيقة أنه يمكن للمرء أن يتحول إلى مصور هاو ولا يتطلب ذلك سوى اهتمام بما يصور إلى جانب معرفة تقنية ليست صعبة المنال .

Photography has gained an increasing importance since the beginning of the current century. .
With cinema, television, books, and magazines, photography plays an important role in entertainment and education.
If we leave this role aside, photography has become a hobby for many people, and it has also become a non-commercial way to record the different stations of one's life, and a means of artistic expression.
There is a misconception among the public that successful photography requires complex technical knowledge, and they content themselves with making pictures that have no artistic value.
The truth is that one can turn into an amateur photographer and it only requires an interest in what he is photographing as well as technical knowledge that is not difficult to obtain.
