Common Mergansers, Middle Prong of the Little Pigeon River, Pittman Center TN 3/28/2022 Ruth called me at 12:30 today and said get your camera and meet me outside, I'm picking you up to go look at a "flock" of Mergansers. Curious think I, but she knows Mergansers. Drive down the road two minutes and there on the river are 9 Common Mergansers! Woah! No one has ever seen that many spring Mergansers on the river before in one place! (We annually see that many youngsters with adult female in summer and fall). What a sight! 4 are adult males with the green heads and white bodies. 5 are a mix of adult and immature female/males; adult female have subtle differences between immature of the species (both female and male immature are identical). #birdsoftennessee #birdsofseviercountytn #tennesseebirds #readyformigration #waterfowlarethecoolest #merganser #commonmerganser

Common Mergansers, Middle Prong of the Little Pigeon River, Pittman Center TN 3/28/2022 اتصلت بي روث في الساعة 12:30 اليوم وقالت احصل على كاميرتك وقابلني في الخارج، سأقلك للذهاب للنظر إلى "قطيع" من Mergan فضولي أعتقد أنني، لكنها تعرف ميرجانسرز. قم بالقيادة على الطريق دقيقتين وهناك على النهر 9 مرجانس شائعة! واو! لم ير أحد من قبل هذا العدد من الميرجانس الربيع على النهر في مكان واحد! (نرى سنوياً الكثير من الشباب مع إناث بالغات في الصيف والخريف). يا له من مشهد! 4 هم ذكور بالغون ذوي الرؤوس الخضراء والأجسام البيضاء. 5 هي مزيج من الإناث/ الذكور البالغين وغير الناضجين؛ لدى الإناث البالغة اختلافات خفية بين غير ناضجة من الأنواع (كل من الإناث والذكور غير ناضجين). #birdsoftennessee #birdofseviercountytn #tennesseebirds #جاهز للهجرة #waterfowlarest #merganser #commonmerganns
