The premiere of Johann Strauss I‘s "Radetzky March" was so successful the piece had to be repeated twice, with audience members clapping along!
The work has been performed as an encore at the Vienna Philharmonic / Wiener Philharmoniker‘s New Year Concert since 1946, conducted this year by Franz Welser-Möst.
