خريطة اليمن من أقدم و أندر الخرائط لجزيرة العرب و اليمن
نقلآ عن الجغرافي اليوناني كلاوديوس بطليموس (١٦١م)
قام العديد من المتخصصين الأوروبيين الجغرافيين برسمها على أقمشة و نحتها على صفائح نحاسية و قاموا بتلوينها و ترجمتها إلى عدة لغات و أعيد طباعتها عدة مرات.
مثل الخريطة الشهيرة التي رسمها راسم الخرائط المعروف أرنولد بوكنيك عام ١٤٧٨م و أسماها خريطة أسيا السادسة ،ونشرها مع 12 خريطة لبطليموس في كتاب الكوزموغرافيا.
و قد حددت خريطة بطليموس حدود العربية السعيدة بمعظم جزيرة العرب و حدودها من الشمال وضح خط يبدأ من اعلى الخليج العربي و ينتهي في خليج العقبة على البحر الأحمر ، من الجنوب بحر الهند من الشرق الخليج الفارسي ( الخليج العربي )من الغرب الخليج العربي ( البحر الأحمر ) كما أظهرت الخريطة جزيرة سوقطرة وجزر عديدة كآراضي للحميريين.

Quoted from the Greek geographer Claudius Ptolemy (161 AD)
Many European geographers painted them on fabrics, carved them on copper plates, colored them, translated them into several languages, and reprinted them several times.
Such as the famous map drawn by the well-known cartographer Arnold Bochnik in 1478 AD and called it the Sixth Map of Asia, and he published it with 12 maps of Ptolemy in the book Cosmography
And the map of Ptolemy identified the borders of Arabia Felix with most of the Arabian Peninsula and its borders from the north. A line started from the top of the Arabian Gulf and ended in the Gulf of Aqaba on the Red Sea, from the south the Indian Sea, from the east, the Persian Gulf (Arabian Gulf) from the west, the Arabian Gulf (Red Sea) The map also showed the island of Socotra and many islands as lands of the Himyarites.
