فاز الروائي الفلسطيني باسم خندقجي بالجائزة العالمية للرواية العربية عن روايته » قناع بلون السماء الصادرة عن دار الآداب في بيروت، أواخر يناير 2023 وخندقجي هو أسير في السجون الإسرائيلية، منذ نحو عشرين عاما، حيث يقضي حكما بثلاثة مؤبدات، وهو يقبع حاليا في سجن نفحة « . وقال رئيس لجنة التحكيم نبيل سليمان إنه تم اختيار الرواية الفائزة بالإجماع، رواية يندغم فيها الشخصي بالسياسي في أساليب مبتكرة، رواية تغامر في تجريب صيغ سردية جديدة للثلاثية الكبرى؛ وعي الذات، وعي الآخر، وعي العالم، رواية يتميز فيها بناء الشخصيات أيا تكن تناقضاتها، وتتعدد طبقات هذه الرواية في بنائها الفني وتتألق التجريدية حيث يتفاعل البحث والثقافة الرحبة العميقة ويرمح التخييل مفككا الواقع المعقد المريض والتشظي الأسري والتهجير والإبادة والعنصرية . و تابع بالرمزية وبالتشويق يأتي في هذه الرواية التي قررت لجنة التحكيم تتوجيها، التعبير عن القلق الوجودي في إهابه الفردي كما في إهابه الجمعي، وعن الهموم الحضارية والأسئلة الكونية، ويأتي أيضا الصراع على التاريخ وفيه كالصراع على المكان وفيه، هو صراع للسرديات بقدر ما هو أيضا نشدان للقيم الإنسانية النبيلة. إليكم رواية اشتبكت فيها وازدهت جدائل التاريخ والأسطورة، جدا ئل الحاضر والعصر وتوقد فيها النبض الإنساني الحار ضد التوحش كما توقدت فيها صبوات الحرية والتحرر من كل ما يشوه البشر، إنها رواية تعلن الحب والصداقة هوية للإنسان فوق كل الانتماءات". تحكي قناع بلون السماء « كما يقدم لها الكاتب قصة نور عالم آثار يقيم في مخيم في رام الله. ذات يوم، يجد هوية زرقاء في جيب معطف قديم فيرتدي قناع المحتل في محاولة لفهم مفردات العقل الصهيوني. في تحول نور إلى أور، وفي انضمامه إلى بعثة تنقيب إحدى المستوطنات تتجلى فلسطين المطمورة تحت التربة بكل تاريخها. وفي المسافة الفاصلة بين نور وأور، بين نور وحبه الجديد، بين الهوية الزرقاء والتصريح بين السردية الأصلية المهمشة والسردية المختلفة السائدة، هل سينجح نور

Palestinian novelist Bassem Khandakji won the International Prize for Arabic Fiction for his novel “A Mask the Color of the Sky,” published by Dar Al-Adab in Beirut, late January 2023. "الفسيفسائي" للمغربي عيسى ناصري. وتنافست الروايات الست على الجائزة ضمن القائمة القصيرة، بعد تجاوزها القائمة الطويلة التي ضمت ست عشرة رواية اختيرت من بين 133 رواية صدرت في الفترة بين جويلية 2022 وجوان 2023 وترشحت للجائزة في دورتها لهذا العام. وجرى اختيار القائمة الطويلة من قبل لجنة تحكيم مكونة من خمسة أعضاء، برئاسة الكاتب السوري نبيل سليمان، وعضوية كل من فرانتيشيك أوندراش، أكاديمي من الجمهورية التشيكية، وحمور زيادة كاتب وصحافي سوداني ومحمد شعير، ناقد وصحافي مصري

وكان سليمان قال إن روايات هذه القائمة تميزت بالحفر الروائي المعمق في التاريخ، على نحو تشتبك فيه أزمنة الماضي القريب والبعيد مع الحاضر والمستقبل، كما تتفاعل فيه مختلف الحضارات والإبداعات الإنسانية والصراعات أيضا من روايات هذه القائمة ما شغلته أسئلة الحب والجسد والتفكك الأسري، وأسئلة الهوية والقمع والتوحش مقابل صبوات البشر فرادى وجماعات، إلى الحرية والعدالة. ومن الروايات ما تفاعل بعمق وحرارة مع ما يعصف ببلدانه وبالعالم من الحروب والتهجير والانتفاضات، حيث عبر الإبداع الروائي بامتياز عن وعي الذات، وعن وعي الآخر، وعن وعي العالم فتحقق الاندغام بين القاع الاجتماعي والمحلي والعالمي، وتنوعت الرؤى وتعددت الجماليات من

الروايات الفائزة والتي وصلت إلى القائمة القصيرة إلى لغات رئيسية أخرى ونشرها. و من بين الروايات الفائزة بالجائزة، التي صدرت بالإنجليزية أيضا أو ستصدر قريبا، رواية » دفاتر الوراق « لجلال برجس الفائزة بالجائزة عام 2021 والتي صدرت في ديسمبر 2022 عن دار إنترلينك و خبز على طاولة الخال ميلاد لمحمد النعاس الفائزة بالجائزة عام 2022 والتي ستصدر في ربيع 2024 عن دار هاربر فيا. ويحصل كل مرشح بالقائمة القصيرة على عشرة آلاف دولار فيما ينال الفائز 50 ألف دولار إضافية عند إعلان الرواية الفائزة.
