dry run Execution of a program in a manner analogous to a production run, but for purposes of checking that the prog- ram behaves correctly rather than for pro- ducing useful results. The results of execu- tion are compared with expected results; any discrepancies indicate an error of some sort that must be investigated before the program is put into production usage.
تشغيل إختباري للبرنامج : تنفيذ برنامج بطريقة مشابهة لسير الإنتاج، ولكن بهدف التأكد من أنه (أي البرنامج يتصرف بطريقة صحيحة وليس للحصول على نتائج مفيدة . تقارن نتائج الإنجاز مع النتائج المتوقعة وأي تضارب بينهما يعني وجود خطأ من نوع ما يلزم البحث عنه قبل أن يوضع البرنامج لاستعمال الإنتاج .
