Glamor in photography is not a question of turning a pretty girl into a " pin - up " . You will often see serious glamor photographs used as fashion magazine covers . And magazines such as Vogue often feature glamorous and romantic portraits by leading photographers like Clive Arrowsmith , David Montgomery , and David Bailey . A successful glamor picture requires an extra factor both from the sitter and from the photographer . A glamorous subject should possess more than just beauty - she should have a quality of " allure " . glamor ▷ Romantic I decided to emphasize this subject's combination of delicacy and innocence by using a pose that suggests a sense of traditional romance . The classical design in the background and the subject's veiled hat accentuate the effect . Pentax 6x7 , 105 mm . 1/15 sec at f16 , FP4 .
