About the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA)
منذ مارس ٢٠١١ حين أعلن سمو الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم ولي عهد دبي عن تأسيسها بحضور ومباركة صاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم نائب رئيس الدولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء حاكم دبي - رعاه الله - مضت جائزة حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم الدولية للتصوير الضوئي في خطن واثقة تستلهم أفكار مؤسسها، مستهدفة بناء الإنسان من خلال صقل مهاراته والتقدم بطموحه إلى آفاق لا تعترف بوجود نهاية للتميز في مجال التصوير الضوئي، في زمان باتت فيه الصورة أصدق شاهد على الحقيقة والأقدر على نقل الخبر بتفاصيل تغني عن الكلمات.
رؤية سمو ولي عهد دبي راعي الجائزة تولّدت من دافع حرصه على مواكبة تطلّعات الحكومة الرشيدة في بناء الإنسان ثقافياً وفكريا ومهنياً ليس فقط داخل الوطن بل لإيصال الرسالة الإنسانية والفنية للجائزة إلى أبعد مدى على وجه الكرة الأرضية.
بناء الإنسان بمختلف ميوله وثقافته وموطنه وتبني موهبته في التصوير هو الهدف الأسمى ، نظراً لكون التصوير هو القاسم المشترك بين الشعوب بمختلف ثقافاتهم وهو أحد أهم عناصر الإنماء الفكري ،للإنسان وهو في ذات الوقت مهنة لا تقل أهمية عن الطب والهندسة وتقنية المعلومات الذين رغم أهميتهم واستقلاليتهم لا يستغنون عن الصورة.
بناء الإنسان هو الشغل الشاغل للقيادة الحكيمة وليس للتدليل على ذلك أكثر من قول صاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم "الفرد هو العنصر الأساسي في القوة، وطبيعي أن ينصب اهتمامنا الأول عليه دون غيره، ومن هذه الجملة تولدت مجمل الأهداف الاستراتيجية للجائزة والتي لم تقصر اهتمامها فقط على المواطن رغم أنه المستهدف الأول، إلا أنها أبت إلا أن تواكب المكانة العالمية التي وصلت إليها دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة بشكل عام وإمارة دبي على وجه التحديد في كل المجالات الاجتماعية والثقافية والعلمية والاقتصادية والرياضية.
Since March 2011, when His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, announced its establishment in the presence and blessing of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai - may God protect him - the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award has passed. International Photography is confident and inspired by the ideas of its founder, aiming to build the human being by refining his skills and advancing his ambition to horizons that do not recognize the existence of an end to excellence in the field of photography, in a time when the picture has become the truest witness to the truth and the most capable of conveying the news with details that are insufficient for words.
The vision of His Highness the Crown Prince of Dubai, sponsor of the award, was born out of his keenness to keep pace with the aspirations of the wise government in building people culturally, intellectually and professionally, not only within the nation, but also to deliver the humanitarian and artistic message of the award to the furthest reaches of the face of the Earth.
Developing a human being with his various inclinations, culture, and homeland, and adopting his talent in photography is the ultimate goal, given that photography is the common denominator between peoples of their various cultures and is one of the most important elements of intellectual development for the human being. At the same time, it is a profession no less important than medicine, engineering, and information technology, which, despite their importance and independence, are no less important than medicine, engineering, and information technology. They dispense with the image.
Building human beings is the primary concern of wise leadership, and there is nothing more evident than the words of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum: “The individual is the basic element of power, and it is natural that our primary attention should be focused on him and not anyone else. From this sentence, the overall strategic objectives of the award were born, which did not fall short.” Its concern is only for the citizen, although it is the primary target, but it refuses to keep pace with the global status that the United Arab Emirates in general and the Emirate of Dubai in particular have reached in all social, cultural, scientific, economic and sports fields.
