The annual exhibition of the Art of Photography Club in Damascus

As usual, at the end of each year, the Photography Club in Damascus held its seventh annual exhibition under the auspices of the Minister of Culture, Ms. Dr. Najah Al-Attar, in the Arab Gallery, Damascus, where 55 artists participated, presenting works characterized by high technology.

And about the exhibition, we had a pause with the vice president of the club, Mr. Abdul Karim Al-Ansari.
In addition to the opinions of the participants and visitors, Mr. Abdul Karim Al-Ansari said:
- The seventh exhibition of the Photography Art Club in Damascus came with the advent of the new year, bringing with it the club's great hopes and aspirations to achieve its many aspirations. My colleagues and I have sensed a good technical shift in terms of content and content, as well as in the technical work and presentation style of the optical exhibits. There is no doubt that we missed the participation of some colleagues, and I do not know the reason. Also, on the positive side, we gained the participation of new elements and very beautiful works.

Ansari continues:
As a new board of directors for this club, we have tried to tighten the application of the conditions on the exhibits in order to bring the offer to its desired goal, and some of what we wanted was.

The paintings are beautiful and the names are new, noting that the colored one is dominant over the ordinary.

Abdul-Alim Al-Husni / employee - visitor:
In general, the exhibition is distinguished and worth seeing more than once.

Ahmed Shehadeh / Subscriber - Tishreen Newspaper Photographer:
The exhibition led to a step and a significant impetus in the photography process in Syria through some of the outstanding works presented by some colleagues.
It is noticeable that there is a shortage in the regular images, and this is due to the full acceptance of the color.

- Nayef Bitar / Armed Forces officer:
Good works appeared in the exhibition, especially with the introduction of plastic art in some light panels to express that it is a good art, especially in the paintings expressing Arab and international experience that came in the works of the artist Abdel Salam and the technical paintings of the artist Shahnian.

- Hana Khaddam, a teacher visiting the exhibition:
I appreciate the efforts of the light artists who excelled in some of their paintings and expressed them in many ways. They were various landmarks from their beautiful countries and from their old neighborhoods. I hope that the club's group exhibitions will last more than once a year.

- Taghreed Awad / Visiting Art Teacher:
The exhibition contains beautiful paintings that cannot be repeated. We wish everyone success.

- Mayada Mohsen / Joint:
The works of the exhibition came as part of a poem whose verses are unique and sweet.
I find that almost all works are full of successful artistic touches and a good start. I wish my fellow light artists to work more so that we can achieve works at the required level.

Mofida Merestani / Shared:
The follower of the club's business notices the preponderance of quality over quantity, and that sifting got the business and we aspire for the best. I hope for our colleagues permanent success in subsequent exhibitions.

- Ali Abdul Karim Al-Qasim:
The club's exhibition for this year is a participant characterized by a variety of good and interesting works by a group of artists who explained through their paintings their feelings and feelings with paintings expressing human nature and heritage. You notice several topics of social life lived in beautiful and enjoyable colors, whether in color or black and white.

- Nawras Ashraf / Photographer at Al-Thawra Newspaper - Subscriber:
The seventh exhibition is distinguished by the quality of the paintings and the new participating names. It seems that the new management is serious about making the club a success.

- Haitham Atabek / employee - photography hobbyist:
The exhibition was distinguished by its selection of the quality of the paintings, and the presence of promising names in this light art in Syria.

Ahmed Anis/ participant in the exhibition:
The exhibition is very good and is characterized by a clear quantum leap. New names and high-tech works have appeared.

Mr. Mustafa Adnan Judallah / Education Officer:
The exhibition is okay. I liked some of the black and white shots, and I also noticed many very good color paintings.

Mamoun Al-Sayed Issa Joint:
The exhibition is generally good and there are distinct paintings, but it is noticeable that the color is dominant over the ordinary, especially since black and white highlights more the artistic ability of the photographer.

- Rami Hajjar, a third-year physics student from the Faculty of Science - a visitor to the exhibition:
It is good and varied and the images included many meanings.

- Suhair Salem / visitor - a second year mathematics student from the Faculty of Science:
The exhibition is excellent and interesting, and it contains various and abstract paintings, some of which are conceptual and others that are not clear.

- Abdel Moeen Abdo Participant:
There was no separation between amateurs and professionals - it would be preferable if the committee chose or rejected with reasons, so that we can learn from our mistakes.

- Muhammad Walid Awad / Participant:
From the exhibition I learned and saw new works and ideas. I hope it will continue and develop to spread to all
Areas of life .

- Tawfiq Malis / Visiting Visual Artist:
As a visual artist, I find works of art at a good level in the exhibition.
Successful paintings in terms of selecting elements within the framework of the painting, but the exhibition is not devoid of paintings below the medium, especially those that were completed in black and white. As for colored works, some light artists succeeded in them, for example, Abdul Karim Al-Ansari, Abdo Mayada Mohsen, Moufida Merestani, Sheikho, Abu Ayyash and Abdul Moein Abdo.
Anyway, the show is a good start.

- Bassam Abu Ayyash, participant - interior designer for the Syrian Arab TV:
The exhibition appeared at a good level, and new techniques that did not exist in the past appeared, and some new names emerged, in addition to the creative old artists.
