وقد عملت - الفورد ، على زيادة الاستيعاب للتدرج اللوني من خلال كمية الفضة المستعملة مما يسمح بمقدار اكبر للألوان المتدرجة للأسود ويضبط
التفاصيل بدقة عالية .
اما التغليفة الخارجية فقد عملت ، إلفورد ، على تحسين نوعية التغليف من الكرتون المقوى لتفادي الصدمات مما يعطب كمية الورق .
المقاسات هي من ١٣ × ۱۸ سم حتى ٣٠ × ٤٠ سم ، وبنوعين : لماع وناشف .. وتوصي الفورد باستعمال ( m 24 ) الناشف - غير لماع - لتكبيرات المناظر واللقطات الفنية أما ( m 1 ) اللماع فيصلح لكافة الاستعمالات .
بقي أن نشير إلى أن هذه النوعية من الورق يتم تجفيفها هوائيا وبثوان معدودة⏹
