ميزة هذا النوع من الورق هو في امكانية استعماله لكافة انواع السلبيات مما يعني توفيراً مادياً معقولا بدلا من شراء كافة انواع الورق .
فهذا الورق ذو تباين ضوئي قابل للتفاعل مع كافة ظروف الإضاءة ، وذلك عبر المرشحات - من صفر إلى خمسة - ولتوفير ضبط کامل رقمت المرشحات بخطوات نصف درجة ، مما يعني ان هناك ١١ مرشحا .
المرشح الأول رقمه صفر وبعده رقم واحد وواحد ونصف . إثنان ، اثنان ونصف ... الخ .

تتوفر المرشحات بمقياسين للاستخدام فوق العدسة اي في مخزن المرشحات مع بعض اجهزة التكبير أو كتعليبة مثبتة ( mounted Kit ) للاستعمال تحت العدسة في حال عدم وجود
مخزن فوق العدسة .
ولضمان الحصول على تدرجات لونية يفضل استعمال المواد الكيميائية المخصصة لهذا النوع من الورق .
١ - محلول الاظهار ( Ilford ilfospeed Multigrade paper Developer )
۲ - حمام الوقف ( Ilford In - 1 Stop Bath )
٣ - محلول المثبت ( Ilfospeed paper Fixer )
هذا وبامكانك طبعاً ان تصنع طبعة الفوسيد مالتيغريد ( II ) بنفسك وذلك ضمن الطريقة التالية :
١ ـ إبدأ بمزج المظهر وحمام الوقف والمثبت ، عاملا بالتعليمات المرفقة مع كل مركب كيميائي ، ثم اغسل كفيك ونشفهما كلياً .
۲ - إختر السلبية التي ستطبعها وتاكد من انها نظيفة ضعها في حامل السلبية في المكبر وصفحتها الحساسة الى الأسفل . ثم ركب هذا الحامل في مكانه ، بعد ذلك تضيء نور الأمان وتطفيء ضوء الغرفة .
٣ - بينما العدسة مفتوحة كلياً ، إعمل على تشغيل المكبر . ضع حامل ( endel ) التكبير ( MULTIMASK ) على لوحة القاعدة : ثم حرك رأس المكبر لصنع إطار وتركيز للصورة بعد ذلك تضيق العدسة الى ف / ٨ أو ف / 11 وتضع مرشح و الفوسبيد مالتيغريد رقم ٢ ، في جرار المرشح من المكبر ، أو في حامل المرشح تحت العدسة .
٤ ـ بينما أنت مستمر في ضوء الأمان ، تضع شريحة ورق الفوسبيد مالتيغريد ( II ) في الحامل والصفحة الحساسة الى اعلى ، ثم تجري إختباراً لتتعرف يعطي الكثافة الصحيحة للسلبية الى التعريض الضوئي الذي التي تطبعها حمض شريحة الاختبار وافحصها تحت ظروف الإضاءة العادية للغرفة .
ه ـ إعمل على إعداد فتحة العدسة والفترة الزمنية اللتين اخترتهما للتعريض الضوئي النهائي ، وركب المرشح الذي يناسب سلبيتك أكثر ما يناسبها ثم تضع إطار الصورة في حامل المكبر ، وتدخل في هذا الحامل شريحة ورق الفوسبيد مالتيغريد ( II ) ثم تصنع التعريض الضوئي النهائي .
٦ - ضع الورقة إنزلاقاً وصفحة الطبقة الحساسة إلى أعلى ، بسرعة ونعومة في المظهر . شغل المؤقت ، واعمل المحلول الى ما فوق الطبعة على هز حوض المظهر لارسال برفق ، وبعد ٥٠ ثانية ، إستغى بملاقط لرفع هذه الورقة وإخراجها وتستغل الثواني العشر الأخيرة لإفراغ المظهر .
٧ - عندما يشير المؤقت الى انقضاء دقيقة واحدة ، تسارع إلى ادخال الورقة المظهرة انزلاقاً وبرفق في حمام الوقف هز الحوض بعنف طيلة ثوان معدودة وإستعن بزوج ملاقط حديدي للإمساك بالطبعة بينما المحلول يتصفى منها ، لتنقلها بعد ذلك الى المثبت .
٨ - تدخل الورقة في المثبت انزلاقاً ، وتهز الحوض لتدفع بتدفق كبير من المركبات الكيميائية فوق صفحة الطبعة . ليحتاج التثبيت إلى ثلاثين ثانية في محلول طازج هذا ويوصي باجراء هز عنيف خلال الثواني العشر الاولى .
٩ - إشطف المثبت الفائض عن الطبعة وافحصها تحت ضوء براؤ لتعرف ما إذا كانت مرضية إذا لد تكن كذلك ، قرر ما هي التصليحات اللازمة واصنع طبعة أخرى على الفور ، بينما نتائج طبعة الاختبار لا تزال طازجة .
۱۰ - اغسل الطبعة طيلة دقيقتين بتدفق جيد من الماء حرارة ٢٠ درجة مئوية ، تقريباً ومع النهر العنيف ، من الممكن لطبعات الفوسبيد مالتيغريد ان تغسل خلال ٣٠ ثانية ، ولكن الوقت الأطول أضمن ، خصوصاً إذا كنت تغسل عدة طبعات معا .
١١ - بعد الغسل ، تصفي الطبعة ، وتستعمل ممسحة مطاطية أو إسفنجة لإزالة الماء الفائض . علق الطبعة لتنشف ومن الممكن تسريع عملية التنشيف باستعمال جهاز تنشيف الشعر ( سيشوار )⏹

The advantage of this type of paper is that it can be used for all kinds of negatives, which means reasonable financial savings instead of buying all kinds of paper.
This paper has a light contrast that can interact with all lighting conditions, through filters - from zero to five - and to provide complete adjustment, the filters are numbered in steps of half a degree, which means that there are 11 filters.
The first candidate has a zero number, followed by one, one and a half. Two, two and a half...etc.
For more clarification about the results of the filter numbers and their functions, you should refer to Issue No. 18 of our magazine under the title, Multi-grade printing paper. .
Filters are available in two sizes for use above the lens, i.e. in the filter store with some magnifiers, or as a mounted kit for use under the lens in the absence of a lens.

In order to ensure obtaining color gradations, it is preferable to use chemicals designated for this type of paper.
1 - Display solution (Ilford ilfospeed Multigrade paper Developer)

3 - Fixer solution (Ilfospeed paper Fixer)
Of course, you can also make the Alfocid Multigrid Edition (II) yourself, in the following way:
1- Start by mixing the appearance, the endowment bath and the fixative, according to the instructions attached to each chemical compound, then wash and dry your palms completely.
2- Choose the negative that you will print and make sure it is clean. Place it in the negative holder in the magnifier, with its sensitive page down. Then install this bracket in its place, after that the safety light turns on and the room light turns off.
3- With the lens fully open, operate the magnifier. Place the MULTIMASK holder on the base plate: then move the head of the magnifier to frame and focus the image, then narrow the lens to f / 8 or f / 11 and place the filter and phospeed MultiGrid No. 2, in the filter jar of the magnifier, or in the holder filter under the lens.
4- While you are still in the safety light, you put the PhospeMultiGrid (II) paper slide in the holder with the sensitive sheet facing up, then you run a test to find out what gives the correct negative intensity to the exposure that you print on the acid of the test slide and examine it under the normal lighting conditions of the room.
E - Work on preparing the lens aperture and the time period that you chose for the final exposure, and install the filter that suits your negative the most, then put the picture frame in the magnifier holder, and insert in this holder a multigrid (II) foil paper slide, then make the final exposure.
6- Slide the paper with the emulsion page upwards, quickly and smooth in appearance. Turn on the timer, and work the solution over the print by gently shaking the appearance basin to send, and after 50 seconds, use tweezers to lift and eject this paper and use the last ten seconds to empty the appearance.
7- When the timer indicates that one minute has elapsed, hasten to insert the paper that appears to be slipping and gently into the waqf bath. Shake the basin violently for a few seconds, and use a pair of iron tweezers to hold the print while the solution is filtered from it, then transfer it to the fixer.
8- The paper slides into the stabilizer and shakes the basin to push a large flow of chemical compounds over the print page. The installation needs thirty seconds in this fresh solution, and it is recommended to conduct violent shaking during the first ten seconds.
9. Rinse off the excess stabilizer from the print and examine it under a clear light to see if it is satisfactory. If not, decide what repairs are needed and make another print immediately, while the test print results are still fresh.
10 - Wash the print for two minutes with a good flow of water at a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius, approximately, and with the violent river, it is possible for the Phospeed Multigrid prints to be washed within 30 seconds, but the longer time is guaranteed, especially if you are washing several prints together.
11- After washing, strain the print, and use a rubber squeegee or sponge to remove excess water. Hang the print to dry, and it is possible to speed up the drying process by using a hair dryer (blowdryer)⏹
